summer 2017 continued with our first return to The Two Gentlemen of Verona since 2009. Director Charlotte Conquest and Neil Irish gave ​Verona and Milan, a 1930s setting, complete with a railway station and nightclub.

Stars of the show were of course our 3 wonderful dogs, Buddy, Tiba and Jen, who played the unruly Crab. The cast never knew what ​might happen from one night to the next! Original songs for nightclub starlet Silvia were written by Matt Eaton.

WE WORKED WITH EVEEY AND BUDDY ON OUR PRODUCTION OF THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF ​VERONA (JULY 2017). IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO HAVE THEM BOTH AS PART OF THE ​SHOW. BUDDY WAS A WONDERFUL DOG TO WORK WITH: VERY GENTLE, LOTS OF FUN AND TOOK ​COMMANDS FROM ME REALLY EASILY. AS HIS ON STAGE OWNER, WE BONDED VERY QUICKLY AND ​STRUCK UP A LOVELY RAPPORT. NATURALLY BEING A RETRIEVER HE COULD BE EXCITABLE AND ​INQUISITIVE BUT ALWAYS REACTED TO COMMANDS AND LOVED BEING ON STAGE. EVEEY WAS ​EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL IN HER APPROACH: VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, ALWAYS CLEAR WITH ​GUIDANCE AND ADVICE. SHE MADE IT VERY EASY FOR US TO ARRANGE REHEARSALS WITH BUDDY ​AND HAD A GREAT 'CAN-DO' ATTITUDE. I WOULD CERTAINLY USE ANIMAL EVALUTION AGAIN.
